When did you start contesting?
At the very beginning of my ham radio carrier. My first contest entry was ARRL 10M contest from our club station OH4AB almost instantly after having my HF-license (beginning of 1990’s).
What are your goals in contesting?
Get more experience to be better operator, learn and develop new techniques and innovations to develop operating environment, do the best, do it seriously, but keep fun!
Which are your favorite contests and why?
No doubt, CQWW, CQ WPX and SAC, RDXC. CQWW is one of most challening contests. When one is over, you just start to wait another one! Russian DX Contest is real thrill, 24h concept, but huge runs. CQ WPX is one of the warm-up contest for coming contest year!
Most memorable Contest, explain why
EA8ZS Contest peditions with huge amount of hardware. Lot of highlights, lot of lowlights, but still managed to get our targets!
Sweetest Victory, why
When ever you win, it tastes sweet!
Personal Contest improvement target areas
Propagation, 2nd radio effiency and accuracy!
