Welcome to Radio Arcala
Radio Arcala OH8X is being modernized into a modern contest and amateur radio station. Legacy custom-built modules are being removed and replaced with reliable commercial components.
The focus areas include contest operation (multi-operator, multi-band, remote operation), amateur use (digital modes, single operators), as well as full support for remote access and modern digital modes from the outset.
The goal is to ensure the continuity of international amateur radio activity in the region.
The station provides an operating environment that is not feasible for a typical amateur living in a townhouse or detached house, due to limitations related to antennas, towers, and available space.
The Radio Arcala operating callsign OH8X is internationally well recognized.

You can become a supporting member of Radio Arcala by contacting the board.
- Supporting membership fee for 2026: €50/year
- Volunteer work can be used to offset the membership fee (e.g. €5/hour)
- Opportunity to participate in station operations together with a board-approved operator
- Right to participate in events organized by Radio Arcala
